Dr. Tate Rubinstein is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and a graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College. The National Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine granted Dr. Rubinstein National Certification in Oriental Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
Dr. Rubinstein believes that an integration of Eastern and Western medicine is essential for positive results. He moves to provide the highest quality care in TCM, focusing on the integration of the body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Rubinstein became interested in acupuncture while living in New York City, working as a tennis professional. He began visiting an acupuncturist, Tom Bisio, who specialized in sports injuries. During his first treatment he received cupping, as well as a specific bone setting massage, and acupuncture on the selected spots of his body that were particularly uncomfortable. After the treatment he felt that his body was in a process of release. The next day, his pain had nearly diminished, and he felt open mentally and physically -- and all without taking a prescription drug. Soon after, he decided that he wanted to learn more about Eastern Medicine, as it seemed to offer a more positive, results-based treatment than he had received from past doctors for other sports-related injuries.
As a tennis professional, Dr. Rubinstein is sensitive to the connection between mind and body, and he strives to empower his patients by promoting their longevity and well-being.
